Hi Anyone got any ideas why I can get these internal pages index, I have a link form the homepage to them now for ages, and have done some good link building to the homepage Will a link building campaign specifically targetting this internal url help to get this index and rankign well in the engines URL: http://www.online-garden-centre.com/acatalog/Nova_Garden_Furniture.html Thanks Marx
Both Google and MSN have your internal pages in their index, so I don't think you have a problem. You have a good SiteMap. What isn't so good are the links in the navigation, which are like this: /cgi-bin/ss000001.pl?SECTIONID=Nova%5fGarden%5fFurniture%2ehtml&NOLOGIN=1. Click on that link and you'll get a cookie error. These should really be going direct to your HTML pages instead. Cryo.
yea thats a bit of a nightmare and cant really be changed, the script uses a cgi menu for the side bar, there is other navigation but its image based, so not great for SEO, so I made the footer breadcrumb links to try help
It definetly is a nightmare, not getting your interneal pages indexed can be a pain. Ive submitted 3 sitemaps already but still nothing im looking into getting some professional help myself. But im gonna try targetted traffic first or advertising to some internal pages. That is the best way to get those pages indexed
Well, you could achieve good rankings with internal pages. That would require an intensive link campagian, a good sitemap, make it sure that u can access the internal link page from any page with a maximum of two links, Google and yahoo sitemap will help as well.
You need to build the links to the pages that you want to rank. Internal links help - particularly from your homepage but if you really want those sites to rank well for the keywords you are targetting, you need to build links from external sites with keyword specific anchor text
