As the title suggests, I cannot get my website indexed. Basically, I changed some of the directory names and urls to be more SEO friendly but after 9 weeks Google will not update my urls. I have obviously updated my sitemap to point to the new urls and used the google remove outdated pages tool to get my invalid urls out of the index but still no joy. Funny all the other search engines have updated my urls. Format Total URLs in Sitemap Indexed URLs in Sitemap Submitted Last downloaded by Google Status Sitemap 88 33 Jul 22, 2009 Jul 24, 2009 From webmaster tools I have 33 out of 88 urls indexed. What can I do.
create strong back links to new URLs. Do you have an account on feedburner ? If you have distribute your content, i think thats help you.
If your server is fast then Google would definitely index all the urls. Here is the trick - Submit the non-indexed url to social bookmarking websites like stumbleupon,digg...etc.
I would not rename existing indexed pages, just moving forward change the structure of new page names.
