can't find my blog on search engines

I created a blogger blog using optimised keywords which only has a competition of 10 on google using quotes. But even after I pinged it, I still cannot find it in google after nearly 2 weeks. Does anyone know why? I assume it should be indexed by now

Like any site, you still need links pointing to your site. You may want to submit it to some blog directories. They can bring you links and some traffic. Here is a list of blog directories with almost 200 listings.

does your page have any harmful scripts? if not, stick on the content, and get more upcoming links. For blog, I would suggest you to use mybloglog.com or feedburner to get some subscribers. It works for me.

    Good luck,

You need only a single inbound link on a popular site to get indexed. You could put it in your sig.

The reality is, not every single site gets indexed. Many have had to do it several times, and it took months, if not over a year.

No, I'm not. I've talked with others, and I have spoken with Google.

Besides, it is just common sense. It's a computer, brother. Shit happens like that.

I don't know why, but you rarely hear about this. It's as if they don't want to rain on anyone's parade. Fuck that. It's better to know now than later, right?

But I'm not saying it will happen to you. Of course not!

Your URL is posted on other sites, right? Just a few is all it takes. It is indexed properly, right? If it isn't indexed within, oh, say, 30 days, try it again. If it isn't indexed again, call them up.

Don't rely on search engines for your $!!

It takes time to get your site indexed. It depends on the age of your domain name, inbound links as well as quality of the websites linking to you. My experience is it takes only a few weeks to get your site indexed but it takes much longer to get some nice PR.
Remember it's in the quality not quantity when speaking about links.

There is no reason whatsoever for it to take longer than a couple of days to get a blog indexed. I don't have any blogs that take longer than a day or so and most are indexed in hours. It is a matter of doing things the right way.

    Listen up. FREEBIE lesson.

Build your blog. Make sure you have tags in the bottom of your post for the keywords you want to get seen for. Claim your blog at Technorati, use an alias and Digg it. That alone gets me indexed. Write an article and submit it to EzineArticles.com

Forums like this one that get a lot of traffic will get you on the radar as well it if you mention your domain in them. I have several other forums that I have been a member of for years that do well for that.

IF you are serious about wanting to get a lot of exposure quick I recommend Auto Social Poster -RSS2Blog (used correctly) and RSS ground.

You can see examples of the use of all these at the site below that was built today:
