hi, i am new to adwords and created a campaign and made a keywords list. however I never named an adgroup. can somone help me understand adgroups more? can you pleaqse explain how to create an adgroup? I just have my list for keywords and I wrapped them. I am currently waiting for my account to verify with my account information. thank you for helping.
Ad group creation takes place within the context of the tabs in your account. This means that you'll set up the components of the ad group on the same tabs where you also view or edit them, so you'll know where to go if you want to go back later and make edits. You can stop in the middle of the creation flow or skip a step and then return later to finish. If you're not interested in the extra guidance, you can choose to set up your ad group all on one page.
According to Google glossary, this is the definition: "An ad group contains one or more ads which target a set of keywords, placements, or both. You set a bid, or price, to be used when your ad is triggered by the keywords or placements in the ad group. This is called a cost per click (CPC) or cost per thousand impressions (CPM) bid. You may also set prices for individual keywords or placements within the ad group." I would recommend that the naming convention of your ad groups should be relevant to the keyword lists within the group. In the long run, it will be easier to track the ad group and make the necessary changes like modifying the bids, changing or testing the ads and optimizing your keywords and ads within the ad groups. Once your account and campaign is created, there will be a tab with a "+" sign saying to add your ad group. You won't miss it
