Can't figure out why XML blogspot database won't show up on Wordpress

    Can't figure out why XML blogspot database won't show up on Wordpress

    Hey guys, I downloaded the XML database from blogspot, then imported the .xml file thru myPHPadmin on cPanel. But the content from the xml isn't showing up on the wordpress blog that has just been setup.

    Also, upon importing the xml blogspot database it said 0 queries, however there are over 1,000 articles that should have been downloaded in the file.

    Does anyone know what's up or how to make it work to get the content showing?

    You are confused. You do not import an XML file through phpMyAdmin, that is for SQL command imports.

    If I remember right, you need to change the extension of the exported Blogger file from .xml to .wpi (or something like that) and then you can import it through WordPress.

    Thats good. One thing you cannot import are the images. You can import the data, but not anything that you uploaded as media.
