    And the other answer to 'why?' is: To avoid confusion. If people edit their thread days after the fact it can take the conversation out of context and cause mass confusion.

    Thats a great feature, so many other boards allow that, and people always go changing stuff, and it becomes a mess, great feature:)

    not only that, if you say something wrong and someone else (rightfully) attack you for it, you can always go back, edit it and call that person a liar.
