Can't create Buy, Sell, Trade thread?

Why can't I create a thread in the "Buy, Sell, Trade" forum within the Business Forum?

I would like to offer links on a PR6 law-related site.

    Thanks for the help.

Obviously you have not read the posting guidelines. Check them out. They are found in the FAQ/Rules area.

You have a overall red reputation, that is why you cannot create a thread in there.

I read the posting guidelines and did not see anything about needing a certain reputation to post in that forum. How can I improve my reputation at this point short of registering for a new handle? (Not sure why rep is bad; think it's from early days of this site when people would move threads from one forum to another because they didn't know what all the terms meant.) Thanks.

A new handle is against the posting guidelines as well. Start contributing to forum in a meaningful way. Many have started out red and are not active contributing users.

If for some reason, you are unable to read the FAQs, I've taken the liberty to post it here. http://forums.digitalpoint.com/faq.php?faq=dp_faq#faq_posting_guidelines

Don't the posting guidelines show up when anyone tries to post in a forum in which they are not currently allowed to post?

Anyway, I just reached the 14 day mark two days ago. :)
