I was looking at the Yahoo news for my local area which we have been getting nailed with snow and seen this little snippet from an article that just goes to show that you cant cheat death. Take a look at the last sentence. "An Oklahoma man was killed Thursday when his vehicle skidded on an icy road and hit an oncoming tractor-trailer. Also Thursday, on Interstate 44 near Rolla, Mo., a semitrailer truck slid through a cable barrier and struck several vehicles. A motorist who had been involved in an earlier accident and was standing by his car was struck and killed."
Trying to "cheat death" is futile. We never know when it's going to happen. When we die, we die. End of story.
precisely w3bmaster and denisej.. only God knows when will our time/life ends here on Earth.. we don't hold our lives, and choose when will we want to die or how will be our death ends up... for me, i just hope that before my life ends, i wanted to finish my tasks here on Earth.what God is asking for me.. To help other people especially those who are less fortunate.. Aside from having a decent job and support my family. coz that is my greatest dream.
Look at Final Destination films. That's something related about cheating death the first and third give me the frights and I am since very cautious about things.
hahaha... Exactly zarrion101!... I was just gonna add it here, but then u've posted it... So thanks. i agreed to what u said....
I don't think anyone was talking about fate. You don't have control over being in a fatal car accident, or a plane crash, or any number of other things that can kill you... we can't predict when we're going to die, and we can't avoid death.
didnt think this would be such a debate lol....well while we are at it i guess i can say that i am not christian but do believe in God but also believe in fate and karma as I am an Eclectic (i mix different religions together to form my own belief) some might say this is wrong blah blah blah but my point of view is that it is better to believe completly in something than to believe in nothing at all
Yeah, I heard about that person on the news. Either it was their time to go, or they are simply the most unlucky person on the planet! For myself, I just try to appreciate the fine people in my life at the very moment that I am with them. Fact is, the time I have remaining with them might be years or seconds...life is funny that way.
Lol yeah right, no reason to cheat or escape it? Then lets get rid of medicine and all the hiv fighting and all that stuff... all the medical technology is here for a reason , just that... cheat death... no one wants to die.. and if you say its part of life and dont mind, next time you get pneumonia stay home dont go to the doctor. Oh and dont blame me or sue me when your dead. This is not something you should attempt.
There are a few things that could save you....like.....jury orders....offering a blueberry muffin to the reaper?
The reaper is my friend, hes really too lazy to go out to work, but when his boss yells at him hes got no choice... but dont worry he prefers to stay home than go out after your worthless @$$ *just kidding*
