Cant believe stumbleupon sent me 2000 visitors in one day!

Did you noticed an increase in number of subscribers?

 

A few weeks ago, i managed to get around 15,000 page impressions in one day from stumble. The next day was around 2000 and it went back down gradually to 100-200 on average daily.

I made roughly 5-8 clicks from all of that traffic. I am not complaining but the traffic is definately not good quality!

 

Thats a lot of traffic, but as a compulsive stumbleupon user, I can agree with everyone that says it only lasts a short while. Even though I bookmark most sites I like and thumb them up, and send them to friends, I rarely stay for a long amount of time. I think that image heavy sites might work better for SU. I love sitting there looking at pretty pictures for hours on end.

 

Oh right "How-to" sites are always a gem to find on SU. They keep me coming back, because I always need to refer to the info again and again.

 

stumbleupon send alot of traffic at the first few day. I get about the same on my new website, but unfortunatey the traffic is dropping day after day

 

From what I understand, results like this on Stumbleupon are common but the traffic flows are very inconsistant and difficult to judge. You might get 1000+ one day and then drop to 2 the next for no apparent reason.
