    Hi everyone!

I just had to share with everyone..
I got my 1 gig ram delivered today! I've been running on 256mb for last 3 years(with xp hogging all but 192mb). I left the 256 in there.
Now instead of a 800mhz machine its running at the proper 1.6ghz.

7 seconds to open 3 programs at once ..as compared to the old 10min for 1 program!!

    I'm so excited LOL

    cheers,
    arcanus

What if it was 256 KB RAM!:D
You open a program... Go to sleep. Get up the next day. And then it launches.

Thats great buddy. I had been using 512 MB RAM in my PC few months back and I upgraded it to 1.5 GB by adding more 1. Now my PC flies and I enjoy its speed. :D

    Congrats!
I used 8 Gb RAM on my Abit motherboard. I can't do any upgrading anymore, the motherboard's slots are full.

I think I also upgrade RAM in my laptop from 512MB to 1GB before that we had a desktop which was running on 128MB RAM(it was dead slow) before upgrading it into 512MB recently (I should also upgrade this one)

We build PC's here, and tend to stick 2Gb in as a minimum nowadays. RAM is very cheap (well the DDR2 stuff is anyway).

Anyone who wanmts to check, nip onto Crucial.com and run their system scanner - it will tell you what your current motherboard will support, and give you an idea of price.

yup it was hail, strong winds and heavy rain. no damage though.

    comspec,
I would have bought the 2*1gig sticks of ram..but my budget would be a bit stretched. my goal is to switch from windows to a macbook pro later in the year with 4 gigs! :)
thanks for the tip for everyone!
