Can't add site

I bought a site, the former owner had let someone use it for Coop. Former owner doesn't know the account info at Coop, and I can't contact anyone who'd have that info. How can I get the site back in the Coop? Can the account be deleted so I can set it up again?

You'd need to post the URL so shawn can tell you at what email address it is registered at and then you can request the account's info to be sent there

And what if it's a url I'd rather not share here?

    Thanks for the response, btw.

Then you' be in trouble... :D

Shawn doesn't accept PMs about this stuff. Best thing you could do is wait for him to log on, post the url here and wait for his reply, and then see if you can edit your post and take out the url

How about it Shawn, will you help me out here?

The two sites are lit.org and writingforums.com

You can verify that I own the sites
    http://www.whois.sc/lit.org
    http://www.whois.sc/writingforums.com

Please delete the accounts out of the Coop so I can set them up and use them myself.

If this goes past the point where I can edit, can you please delete this post, I'd rather not have a public record of the sites I own that may be using the Coop.

    Thanks!

Well someone has to know because they are both validating properly...

Both lit.org and writingforums.com are registered to topout [at] gmail.com. Do you know who's email that is? Is so, they can retrieve the login/password info on your behalf.

    Hi Shawn,
Thanks for the reply. Yes, I tried to contact the person and request the login/password info. I emailed him over a week ago to request that info, and he has not provided it to me. I recently bought those sites, and the person in control of the Coop account was renting the space from the former owner. I'm really in a bind here, there's no way for me to figure out the login details unless he tells me, and he isn't telling me, so I don't really know of any other way to get the info than from you. Sure, I can remove the Coop files from the sites so it won't validate, but that won't get me the login and I can't add the sites again because it keeps saying they're already in use.

Also, could you please, please, please, delete post #5 from this thread, I'd prefer to keep the names of the sites confidential.

    Thanks!
