Cant access my site from Home...DNS problem ?

I have purchased a directory http://www.za7.org but it seems I cant access it from Here ( Germany ). I ve been told thats it works in asia and USA but it doesnt open me end. I ve tried accessing it thru a proxy...sometime it works...most times it doesnt though.

Would really appreciate some help here if help is possible. My host tells me the site isnt available and that the server is probably down.

Any theories?

You can have to wait up to 48 hours if you have changed nameservers. Normally it takes only a few hours.

 

yeah...i know. I purchaes the directory on thursday last week and it went offline after I registered it. Somehow though, I could access it this morning for approx. 3 hours after which I couldnt access it again. Its quite frustrating to see that the rest of the world can access my own site and I cant.

 

i would check your dns for the domain name as it is not resolving do you have access to the ds settings or you will need to ask who ever looks after that domain

Yes I have access to the DNS settings although I must admit Im not sure I know how to edit DNS settings. If your willing to give me a tip I would gladly accept

hi you need an 2 records see bellow

an A record with the followind details

Name = www
Type = A
Data = ip address of server
AUX = not important
TTL = not importand

another A record

Name =
Type = A
Data = ip address of server
AUX = not important
TTL = not importand

We just been getting some help. Can anyone access the URL now because all I get is a redirect to a "parked domain"

this is weird. If everyone but me ( in Germany ) can access the site there must still be something fishy going on

Damn....what do I have to do to be able to access it.

FzX5vo was kind enough to edite the name servers for me for which I am truely thankfull. My only problem is that I cant bring the site up on my screen

Just asked someone in pakistan to open the site but they couldnt either !
