    Hi There,

I am currently working on a clients site and it seems that they have an Canonicalization issue.

    1st domain is .org.uk with Inlinks (1,090)

    2nd domain is .nhs.uk with Inlinks (219)

Now I think that the ideal would be to have a friendly 301 redirect from .nhs.uk to .org.uk?

Would the 219 links be still counted or would they loose them??? Am I right in thinking this before I go ahead???

Thanks in advance for any responses......

A 301 redirect will keep the benefits of all the existing links. That's the right way to do it. When possible, ask the people linking to .nhs.uk to update their link with a link to the new address.

each page should have a 301 that redirects to the corresponding page on the new domain.
