Canonical issue

    I have one site, now I am planning to prepare one more site with same designing structures. So we preparing a demo site and we send this demo url to designing team , so they may take one or two months to design a site.
    In mean time google crawling my demo site with my old url.
    Let me explain with example
    My original site is http://www.My1234site.com and my demo site is http://www.My1234sitedemo.com.............
    When you check for google cache for http://www.My1234sitedemo.com demo site it showing like this
    This is Google's cache of http://www.my1234site.com/. It is a snapshot of the page as it appeared on 18 Feb 2011 03:24:54 GMT. The current page could have changed in the meantime. Learn more
    Should I restrict demo site with robots… If yes … please explain the reason

    I think you should simply use a robots.txt on the demo page and block them from indexing.

    Yes this DP user is right. You should try robots.txt file for prevent access this types pages. Thanks
