Hahaha, ultimately, you can ignore it for now. But it's Google's initiative to make the web faster for everyone. If you create AMP versions of your websites, they'll ultimately load faster if accessed through Google. I have it on three of my websites. But didn't bother with the others. Currently, you can safely ignore it for now... But that could change within a few years. The last time I checked, it doesn't affect SEO rankings (although it seems to improve click through rate)
the AMP versions a totally focus on increasing sites loading speed opened on google search engine and browsers. on other browsers and search engine it doesn't have any effect.
