Cannot uninstall several problems in win XP

Hi,


Not sure where to put this, but im having some problems with the uninstall of software in win xp.
When i go to control panel-> software to uninstall a program, the software window just freezes and I cannot continue with the uninstall... I also cannot find an uninstall file for several programs...
Are there other ways to uninstall software, maybe with a third-party program?

Have you tried going into safe mode to uninstall?

 

Try CCleaner.

I use it all the time - its lightweight and convenient

Go into safe mode, go to start, my computer, then your main drive (c) unless it's another letter and right click and explore. Go to program files and delete the program that won't uninstall. Then use CCleaner to get rid of the leftover registry files and clean up any leftover files.

Get a second opinion on this but I think it should work.

Also find out why your having this problem. Your event viewer may help.

 

I would backup my important files and do a clean install.

 

what's the name of the program? might want to see if you're infected by a spyware or virus??
