First off, on the privacy policy page - you should include a link to one on your landing page (Google actually recommends this in their Adwords Quality guidelines) BUT it's definitely not essential, it's good practise but a lack of one is not enough to warrant a QS of 1/10.

However, just checked your LP and it has the link - so all good on that front.

It's nothing to do with FAQ / resource pages (@DownUnder - don't know where you get all that FAQ nonsense from, they don't impact your LPQS AT ALL)

It's nothing to do with keywords on your page either.

I'm not a coder so it's a possibility it's something to do with the design of your site.

The most likely explanation is one of 2:

    1) Your site was down when Google bot came to visit

    2) you've been caught in the recent crossfire as Google purges affiliates, sign up sites, thin content sites etc. sounds like a weak explanation but that's been happening A LOT lately.

Either way the best reposne is to email adwords support and ask for a manual review of the site. explain about your site and how it doesn't fit any of the following guidelines for low LPQS:

    https://adwords.google.co.uk/support/aw/bin/answer.py?hl=en-uk&answer=66238

Tip: make the email a nice and very courteous one!
Tip2: they're extremely busy at the moment. If you just received a canned response, reply back to taht email, even if they tell you not to contact them again, explaining that you are absolutely sure you don't break any guidelines, you're justa computer repair company and ask them to manually review it

Only one link to freeindex - and this is on my homepage.

The homepage is not easily found from the landing page either.

OK, thanks JHardy - I'll send an email to them today and will update the outcome. I cannot wait for the explanation!

I've just performed a search on my domain and all of the new pages pertaining to my advert are not indexed. Not one of them! Maybe this is the problem?

I'll set about creating some internal and external backlinks to these pages to see if this will speed up the optimisation the process,

Has anyone else experienced non-indexed pages giving a QS=1?

Google came back with the following:

As you may be aware, Google strives to provide our users with the most positive experience possible. For this reason we prohibit sites that install spyware or in any way do not meet our Software Principles.

Please review Google's Software Principles in full at:

    http://www.google.com/corporate / software_principles. html

These guidelines are broad and we acknowledge that the issues are complex and the technology is evolving. As a step towards protecting our users, we created this of standards that we believe our industry should adopt. We reserve the right to disable websites that we feel do not meet such software standards.

So there we go. They are saying that my site has spyware. The only software I have is remote online support software. This is not malicious and gives the user the chance to cancel the install. As for spyware! Eh? What spyware!

Has anyone else experienced this type of thing?

    Hi William,
I´m using the Firebug tool of Mozilla to check my onpage SEO quality based on the keyword that you focus upon. It could take away one of the possibilities that google keeps your QS at 1.
    Success.
