If you have a little CSS knowledge you can simply do it. The styles of the attributes you are talking about is in the style.css file. Please edit the correct style classes associated with those.

Not sure if you figured out your issue, but the web developer toolbar for firefox and firebug are so helpful in learning how to make these types of changes
