I posted this in another thread, but decided it deserves its own. (Sorry if that's presumptuous). Has anyone here had their account banned strictly for the reason that they weren't getting enough traffic? Google's TOA states that this is a possibility. I'm concerned, as I figured I could get AdSense while my site was still unpopular, and then "grow into it". I'm up to the challenge of gaining more traffic in 2 months if need be, though. Jesse
k thanks, maybe I'll relax a bit... But I'm still going to work at getting more traffic! I'll be the happiest webmaster in the world when my site starts getting regular visitors!
It seems to me, a couple of years ago, they had a condition that suggested that you needed to have a certain number of visitors already, (somewhere in the thousands per day range), to qualify for the program, does anyone remember this? That's why I was so amazed when they approved me, as my site was not even a week old. Needless to say, I'm happy about it!
I've always thought that the reason Google's ADsense program is so successful is that they go for bulk rather than quality (re: instead of a few big sites, they have millions of small sites). So it probably behooves them not to care about traffic.
Over at that other message board, AdSenseAdvisor said they have not banned sites for lack of traffic. er where is AdSenseAdvisor??!!
