Canceling PR7 site, moving to another site

We have 2 sites. Site A and site B. Site A has PR6, site B PR7. Both corporate sites are about the same company, just different sections (marketing, web). We just renovated site A and now we have in this site both sections so we are going to cancel site B which has a very old look.

I am wondering what do you think it would be the best option:
    a)
Redirecting site B to site A. Is it ok to move the entire site with so high PR with redirect to 1 single page? That could be a huge link juice bomb, is any danger that Google will punish us?

    b)
Changing all links (more than 300) as we have access to all of them and pointing them to site A. On site B we would just add some articles and remove some old content. Same again that would be a huge link juice bomb, but we can change all links through a long period (10 months each month about 30).

    Any comment would be great.

    Thank you

If the SITE B has like dozen of pages then you can redirect each page permanently (301) to the page of the SITE A.

So Contact of SITE B --> Contact of SITE A
Home of SITE B --> Home of SITE A
    like that....

I just did this for my own site and there is no loss.

    Just don't delete that domain.

Woochy but we talk about more than 300 links. Won't be that too fast change and too many links in such a short period?

Linda so you mean to not do any redirect or change links but just put links to site A pointing to site B and reverse to get in both sites even better PR?

I do something like this: make a 301 redirect from pages about SEO from the old site to a page about SEO on the new site.

It will takes time to do all the redirect but it'll worth it.

If the content/pages from Site B will be moved to Site A, then do redirects in a 1:1 way.

Redirect each page in site b to its new location on site a.

You should not worry about anything as you are doing a legit thing. Merging two sites to one is a normal thing.

Personally I would update site B, it doesn't make sense to give up good PR. It is unlikely that redirects will pass along the link juice to the new site, but I don't know for sure.
