CANADIANS: What internet (ISP) do you use?

I am in need of a good internet for myself, but rogers and bell dont seem to have good offers. Rogers have got a CAP of 100gb on their maximum internet offer, which i hate.

Can you share some other internet if you use, and what is the price, and how well it is.

    Thanks.

I am in Alberta and am using Telus at the moment but they are horrible so I am looking for an alternative as well. What I am paying for is supposed to be high speed but it is no faster than the dial up I used years ago. When I called to complain about how slow my high speed is they informed me that I could of course upgrade my "high speed" for an additional amount of money each month. Ummm, no thanks, I'll find another provider thank you very much. So I guess what I am saying is Stay away from Telus. :)

Unfortunately I am using Netscape Dial Up Internet with Accelerator (LMAO) We don't have the pleasure of High Speed or DSL in our area (we are very rural) ... :( It sucks really badly!! You'd think Canadians would have more of a choice than the above providers. When I was living in Alberta I was using Telus High Speed as well, and its just as slow as dial up, I completely agree with the previous poster.

I think these are some other choices in Canada:

    Shaw

oops, thats all I can think of sorry :) Isn't that pathetic though?

Shaw, Cogeco have got bad reviews.

There a new one called ACANAC or something? That charges $18/Month for highspeed but you have to pay for a year up front. Its like $300 per year.

Been with shaw for years, never had a problem... Although it is pricey...

My download speeds are about about 500-600 KB/s most of the time which is pretty much on par with what they advertised I would get... Some friends & family have telus because it's cheaper, but it just isn't as fast.

I am in victoria BC and I use Shaw...they are pretty good and open about torrents and whatnot. I have had warnings in regards to uploading...and have gone over the limit provided for my bracket or payment...but they have never cut me off so its been good. in my old house i was cut off once...but i just called and said reconnect me...and they did no extra fees or fuss...

I was using Bell Sympatico ( Dail-up) and of course, it sucked but, being in the country, I couldn't get high speed till just a few weeks ago. I am now using Telus @ $85 per month
(insane) but, that's the only way I can get high speed. So far, the service has been good.

I've been using Cogeco for over 5 years now and even though they recently introduced the limits I don't have many complaints. Speed is good and consistent, down time is minimal, price ain't too bad at $55, support has been good when I've called and needed it. I don't know if you'll be able to find a provider that doesn't have any limits but I wish you luck in your search. :)
