Canadian webmasters - do you see a drop in traffic due to Olympics?

Hi folks,

I've got a maybe silly question to ask -- but did any of you notice a drop in traffic to your sites since the Olympics started?

My question firstly relates to Canadian webmasters or those that have a lot of Canadian traffic (since Olympics are on here like 24/7 on CTV and other channels).... then everyone else!

I have a few clients with developments in .ca range, yes traffic has dropped a bit but not by much.

 

Heh, I saw a 1/3 drop in uniques exactly on Saturday (when the games opened) as opposed to normal weekend stats. Same thing today and I see no change in Google SERPs.... So it really seems like there's less people surfing and more people watching

 

are canucks the only ones watching the olympics?

 

I've actually seen a huge boost in traffic to a lot of my sites. I think that's only because one of my sites has to do with the olympics--http://best.olympicstats.ever.com

 

Haven't noticed any drop in traffic to any of my sites. Most are Canadian focused with the biggest one catering specifically to Alberta. But no, no drop in traffic. Yesterday I had quite a spike but it was unrelated.
