Canadian Dollars opens highest in 30 years

I was wondering what everyone’s opinion was considering the Canadian Dollars opened today at 1.04.00 compared to the American Dollar. I’m thinking this puts me in the mood to buy some American links  what are your thoughts and does this affect you in anyway? This is a all time high for the Canadian Dollar and I’m proud that it seems to be rising so much  Overall I don’t think it’s due to our Canadian economy doing so well I strongly believe this is due to the American Dollar doing so poorly and becoming worthless seeing China and Japan have enough American currency to purchase half of America itself.

Please share your opinion I would like to hear what you think regarding our Canadian Dollar vs the American Dollar 

I for one LOVE that the canadian dollar is doing so well.

Just goes to show you that the bush administration sucks utter shit.

Ill be heading down to florida fo xmas this year. Road trip with just the gf and I It should be fun as hell and with the fact that buying american money will actually give me MORE money that I started out with I think I'm going to come back with a new set of 18" rims and rubber for my car

Yes it sucks for those who are making money on the net and getting paid in american currency and yes it sucks for the canadian economy when it comes to exports etc but hey us travelers shall reap the benifits while it lasts

 

I have mixed emotions about it. It's good for the economy I guess (importers), but it means I get paid less.

Ummm, I personally don't care too much. This obviously has a lot to do with the Americans spending so much right now. Once this war is over, things will probably return to how they were I would imagine.

 

I think you're right, I'm not sure about the spending as this low currency has to do with the war in Iraq right now but the American economy is 300 million strong it will bounce back

 

It makes me think that I'll be taking a holiday in the US rather than Canada...

 

I won't be mad when i get a canadian quesrter in my change from now on.

 

HAHA I love it, but it's so true and if you think this is bad right now just sit back and enjoy the reality of it all. Our Canadian Dollar will soon be 1.25 cents on the American dollar.

 

Indeed the Bank fo England reported yesterday that it thought the dollar had further to go - I am so pleased I don't get paid in dollars anymore!

I sure hope that this weak dollar improves and I can't wait until Bush leaves office

 

I feel so much richer now since CAD is more expensive than USD....

Actually I lost quite a bit of money because of this - I had some savings in USD and waited too long before I sold them. As a result I lost around 20% of the amount invested.

 

Well good for me as I work in Canada and now when I convert money to paypal I dont love any!
But no affect to me when I sell sites as I sell sites and buy more from same money.
