Canada's labour market is weak?

    Why do Canadians get paid so much lower than other countries (let's compare us to the states) for several careers?

    I've been looking through:

    For average salary prices and I'm shocked to see that chemical engineers get pay of an average of $27 an hour.. (and low wages for many science related fields too.. under $40/hr) the education to obtain those careers are hard to complete too..

    What about Computer Engineers/Software Engineers how much are they paid with!! and yes it looks relatively low compared to US market,but high enough compared to Asian markets

    33 average, high is 41 an hour :eek: ONLY. Note that it's in Canadian dollars...

    That's such a waste, they're using so much education.. sad because I make more online when I work on designing (without any post-secondary education..)

    It costs less to live in Canada, although Toronto is another story.

    Toronto IS a different story.. calculated minimum wage here.. it barely pays off rent for a family...
