No I don't think so. Without google traffic you will not get much traffic, though you can get some traffic if you have link exchange traffic from your competitor. But direct google search traffic is must in my view.
you can get direct traffic , traffic from other resources like social networking sites, article sites , press release , forums and many more . it basically depends on your off page activities.
yes, it will dies but it depends on the site though, if it's a p*rn site, usually the traffic source isn't from google
If I lost google I would dump the site. With that said I get more traffic from referral than I do google. You can post on popular sites like digital point forum. If you take the time to make the post key words rich and throw links from other sites to that post. You will find that digital points popularity will take you to the first page search results. Digital point is just an example. Find popular sites that allow user content and throw some more links to your content. If you are banned from google than any site your domain links to will be damaged.
And with big time websites, does this include Facebook? I highly doubt websites such as Facebook needs Google to get new people coming in. Bottom line, it mainly depends on the website although I highly doubt that there are a lot of websites in across the internet that doesn't rely in Google.
Yes you can make some alternative side incomes like: - affiliate marketing - promoting your ptc sites - using bidvertiser, linkworth, text-ad links, infolinks etc. (they also take space of your site for their product advertising from which you can get paid) - Promote your business - Last but not least, posting some online jobs like "ezmoneyjobs" blog. Check it out Maria
