Can you use other company if Adsense shows only PSA's?

I have a site that shows only PSA's on the homepage, so I want to use the alternative ads function.

Now I was wondering if I could use something like Adgenta to replace the PSA's (and only the PSA's) or is that against the TOS. I sent Google an email about this but I got a generic answer that told me how to put Adsense code in a page (That I already knew, thank you).

In other words, I got no usable answer at all, maybe because I'm mailing to the dutch speaking version of AdSense and they have fewer people to answer questions?

So, If Im' right you can't combine Adsense and another targeted ads company on one page, but is it allowed to replace Adsense PSA's with another company?

I want to be sure because I don't want to get banned over this. AdSense works fine on the rest of the pages and I want to keep it that way!

Thanks for the quick answer Will.

Any tips on which one to choose? O, never mind, I'll just read around here, there is already much discussion on this topic.

It is fine to have different ads on the site but not the same page.

Even though Google is showing PSA's you should remove the code for Google Ads if you want to add an alternative.

Good idea, as I always get PSA's there is no use to leave the Google code on there and replace it altogether instead of working with the alternative function.

    Cheers

    Hi pmwall,

I'm an affiliate publisher of Allfeeds.com, and they have a program called 'Google Backfill' that provides a single URL (per website) that can be used in the 'Alternate URL' field of your AdSense code. They have quite a few other content-based programs, as well, and I've had good success with them. You can click the link in my signature if you want more info.

An alternative approach would be to understand why you only get PSA's on the home page.

Sometimes with minor changes in the page (removing words that the AdSense robot does not like), you get the ads back.

I have also heard about sites that only display PSA's on their home page when you address it as ww w.site.com/ and that show ads when you use ww w.site.com/index.php. If this is the case, you should get in touch with an AdSense contact person.

Thanks for the tips Jean-Luc, but thats already another thread on this forum. I tried a lot of things but nothing I tried solved the issue.
