This varies by Advertiser...some have specific rules as to how you can promote the products.

It depends on the advertisers, everyone has different rules, but most of them would not be happy if you start spamming people with their inventory.
There are limitations to PPC campaigns as well, so better check out their policy carefully before applying and setting up your marketing campaigns.

You can even ask the advertiser if they dont allow it. Let them know its an opt in email or whatever account. Some will allow it and monitor it to make sure you're not spamming.

I think it depends on the advertisers, each company have different rules. I should say be careful about "spamming". My friend did this with no intention of spamming and he got into trouble where the company almost sue him. So it is a good thing to contact them first before doing it. It is not worth the problem.

    Cheers!

Indeed I agree with most of the people that replied here, it does depend on the advertiser you are linked with. But, if you do it more often, CJ will inquire you regarding "How you promote your advertisers' products" and later on, they will invite you to their "Incentive Program" which will definitely make some impact on your future applications to new advertisers.

Generally speaking, it is not a good idea to place CJ links in a email letter. You can also set up a website with there links on a page. But personally I still would not put that link in an email letter. If anyone reports you, you will have problems. Your email account and or your domain name could be closed down. You can alway join a smaller affiliate program and place their links in your email letter. Many of the smaller affiliate networks have less rules that you have to deal with and if you falll into problems, at least you are not closed out of one of the biggest affiliate networks online.
