Hi, everyone: I have always wanted to go to India. Is one of my must go there destinations. I'm thinking on some vacations first and, maybe... live there a few years. I'm not lazy, I have made my investigations about the country, but I would really like to know the opinions and comments from people that actually LiVE there. So, if you have the time and want to help me, this is what I would like to know: VACATIONS: - What places I shouldn't miss? - Is Indian people friendly? I'm very "easy going" and funny, I make friends with ease... but some cultures are really unfriendly - How much does a 4 start hotel cost? Can I rent a furnished apartment to a local, so he gets the money and I live like "in my home" (sometimes, I prefer that to a hotel) LIVING: - Is New Delhi expensive? is it cheap? How much for a two peoples apartment? Please, give me some app prices. - How much should I pay for a made (someone to clean and cook for me) in New Delhi? - How good is the quality of Internet connection there (prices vs upload/download REAL speed) - Are Indians tolerant with other peoples opinion (about religion, politics... sports), cause I really like to chat and debate. - Is it hard to find weed (yeap, I like pot). Well, that's it. You don't have to answer ALL the questions, of course. And ANY comment is welcomed. I'm gonna really appreciate the opinion of people that actually live there. PS: I'm a guy. The girl in my picture is one I was dating. I say this so you can save the "xz place is dangerous for a woman" kind of comments. CHEERS and thanks in advance.
Well, New Delhi is one of the best places in India where you can enjoy all the facilities and that too at a good price. Its not much costly like Mumbai. So, stay in Delhi !! You will get Internet speed of I think 16MBps but thats limited. - Digital -
Thanks! I totally forgot about Mumbay, but now I will pay attention to you advice. 16 MBps sounds great, but all the providers set limits for download? do you know (aprox) how much ins that limit and the monthly fee? (just to get an idea)
Welcome to india with love! I like indian people, i had the chance to have some good friend from India.
All Indians are my brother's and sister's India is a secular state. Hindu Muslim Christian and all people in other religions are living together in India with full of joy, happiness and cooperation. I love this great country. I am proud to be an Indian. Indian's love their neighbours too. We love them...
Also Indians are Friendly. Maybe some people will charge you more for things if you look like a foriegner but if you have an indian friend along then that can be stopped for sure
Well, its costly as per other plans. But you get super speed in it. Like if you need unlimited things, you will have to stick with just 512Kbps @ 1300 INR/month. And for 16Mbps you need to pay Rs.2999 for 20GB and Rs.4999 for 50 GB. - Digital -
Atleast four metropolitan cities, including Kashmir, Goa, Chandigarh and ofcurse Agra. Well , India is a secular state, you will find 9/10 people with friendly nature. Cant answer other questions.
Best cities are Goa, Mumbai and New Delhi. Goa is your ideal place for exotic adventures whilst Mumbai is great for chilling out with friends, nightouts, djs and stuff.
If you are looking to live a quality life in a good surrounding, I think Chandigarh is the place for you. It is considered to be the best well planned city in India. The climate is also good there, unlike Delhi where the climate is very extreme and the air a lot more polluted. Regards, RightMan
For how many days are u coming to India? How many cities u plan to visit ? Let me know if u plan to visit Hyderabad,we can have some beer together.
Following are advantages of INDIA: 1. All community people live together in India. 2. It is second highest country in terms of population in the world. 3. I am proud that I am also an Indian.
Instead of choosing metro for staying, select a town and you will enjoy real india.. metros have changed, they don't have the real flavor of india. Yes, people are friendly.. but be safe always.. Girls (specially white) aren't treated well always.. wherever you go, you will find guyz staring at you, so be ready
Well you can visit Bangalor, hyderabad, Goa, mumbai these are excellent cities and i can say they are modern, can be compared to top international cities. Also these are cosmopolitan cities, where you can meet people from all parts of the country and even world. Be carefull you carry a honest guide, and even be carefull if you are a woman, becoz nowdays these cities have become not so safe place for foreign or local women.
