Can you suggest a good javascript book

    I recently bought a book of Play.com for learning javascript 1.5 but nothing works in it I have followed the direction and examples word for word and nothing can you suggest a good book for starting javascript?

    I seem to have gotten into books once they are to do with web design I find them easier to just sit down with one and read it and follow steps to get what im doing in it done.
