can you still make a few dollars from organic searches?

can your blog or site generate money from organic searches vs just from incoming traffic from sites that has linked to you?

 

It can make money on any source of traffic.

 

? Are you joking or what? Adsense monetized sites are perfect for 100% organic traffic, not for referrals.

 

the reason i ask was because i am not the type to approach other web masters and ask if i can have a link placed on their site. i hope my next project earns some dollars.

 

To perform well with adsense you need serp's traffic, organic. 95% of it.

 

$60k in 2006, $80k in 2007, $62k so far for 2008 - ALL from organic/UNpaid traffic..
If i were you, i'd start getting some backlinks.. When i first started i sent out hundreds of backlink requests.. i got a very low response rate, but after a while they start to add-up..

What do you mean by sending out backlink requests? I though back links were generally generated by commenting on other posts or using forums...

 

Or asking site owners. SERP is directly related to backlinks.
