Hi guys, this is my first post here and would really appreciate any help/advice you guys have on this matter.

We've been doing this for 3 years, so we like to think we kind know what we're doing but this incident has totally baffled us. Our site would appear to be sandboxed in Google US, but not the rest of the world.

    site: hongkonghotel.com

    Google US Results: Page 8

Google UK: Page 1 Position 4

    http://www.google.co.uk/#hl=en&source=hp&q=hong+kong+hotel&aq=f&aqi=g10&aql=&oq=&gs_rfai=CE9Z0BpFETKnqHIGOzQT2jtnPCgAAAKoEBU_QHGuP&fp=28ec045743156be6

    Google Singapore: Page 1 Position 1 & 2 (varies)

    http://www.google.com.sg/#hl=en&source=hp&q=hong+kong+hotel&aq=f&aqi=g10&aql=&oq=&gs_rfai=C7G1aKpFETJLbDZXggwTsg8mDBQAAAKoEBU_Q5Y4c&fp=f4c2c4412ef997e3

We've never seen this before, and it's happening to quite a few of our sites (we've got 20 dedicated servers). The only thing I can think is that it's been manually report as a 'thin affiliate?' and penalised.

However, if that was the case, why would Google deem it relevent and qualtiy enough to place it right up there on page 1 everywhere else in the world. Literally every other index has it up there (same with a large number of our other sites), but Google US just doesn't want to know.

Muchos Kudos to anyone that can shed any light on this bizarre situation.

    Thanks,

    Rich.

27 views so far and no answers?

Does this mean this post is in the wrong category or is everyone just as puzzled as I am!?

Check the "Google Sandbox Checker Tool" thread, i just saw it. They have tools to check if Google has messed you over or not. Do you have different IP's for your sites? If not, that could pose a big problem.
