I was just wondering if you can or not,i mean more visitors is not exactly an incentive to click, just kind of improving your chances of a click,so is this allowed or will it get me into hot water with google?

If you are buying traffic from adwords or any similar contextual advertising program or expression based advertisment(Like casalemedia), then you will be fine but if you buy traffic from those so called cheap bulk traffic providers (Normally fake bot generated traffic, in other words using auto surfer scripts), you might be in trouble as it is against adsense TOS..

Unless you have ads running on CPM on your site. I wouldn't do it either way..

And fake traffic will break the TOS of all well known CPM ad networks and will cause webmaster's butt kicked out of the network...

You also have to be careful that your traffic is not coming from spam sources. You can get banned from that too.
