Can you sell your own ringtones?

I think a lot of want to sell their own ringtones. There are places like Xingtones.com and JivJiv.com that offer you an extremely small percentage of the sales and don't allow many customizations to your ringtone store. They also put Google ads on your site that you don't get money for.

Is there any better services out there? Preferably one that I could host and customize myself?

Is there any reason you sholdn't be able to?
You can set up credit card payment on your site and get the $$$ without giving your tones for free.

Having a ringtone sent directly to a cell phone is very different than just allowing people to download an MP3.

If you use a ringtone service, you don't need credit cards.
