Can you say this?

I couldn't really find any information on this... would saying something like this be looked at as bringing attention to google ads? . . Thus getting me banned?

"This site is supported by ads and donations only. Without these, you wouldn't be reading this right now. Bandwidth costs alone are over $200 a month. You may not like seeing the ads, but they keep us alive."

I would definitely say that goes against the ToS, but if you want to be sure, why don't you ask them?

All you are supposed to say is something like "these are our sponsored ads" and nothing else.

"or other similar language that could apply to any ad"... IMHO that includes "You may not like seeing the ads, but they keep us alive."

how many visitors that your site have per day and what kind of site that you run? For me $200 a month for bandwidth is quite high and I'm sure you're on dedicated server and have lots of visitors, if that true, why don't you try any CPM program like tribal fusion, fastclick, casale media or burstnet?

from the google policy, they just stated that you can use either "Sponsored Link" or "Advertisement" so stick to that. Don't be too creative with the wording, better use your imagination for other things like ads placement or interesting content

And remember you can always break out the old email client and fire off your question straight to the horse's mouth if you want a definitive answer. :)

I wanted to put "ad-financed service" text on my site, and asked g about it. they said no.
I don't think they will allow you. its always best to ask before implementing.
