I needed to flatten an image, but seemed to have saved the image flattened and closed the application. Is there anyway to get the layers back? Thanks for the help.
not that im aware of, if you saved it as a .jpg/.gif etc then no, ill go look around and maybe something will turn up
seems to do nothing, remember this file was saved and closed. Does photoshop store any type of history after closing?
I think intrinzik was fooling around since ctrl+E is the command to merge layers. My answer: you're screwed there's no way to unflatten a file and Photoshop doesn't have a backup file feature (at least, versions CS and below don't).
I have PS7. Not a designer so I dont know much about the application other than layer positioning and cutting up images.
yeh your basically screwed, once its merged/saved/closed theres no way that i no of to get it back. if its not too difficult just start over.
Yup.. Once you have flaten the image, save it to jpg etc and close the graphic application, there is no way you can restore it back!
well there is no way .. but i use CS2 .. and i can save tiff file in layers.. which is not possible in PS7...
Post the image or PM me, and what you want to accomplish with it, and maybe there's a way to salvage what you want to salvage. You can't restore the layers, but depending on what you want to accomplish, you maybe able to accomplish it.
