Can you reserve domain names for free?

I'd like to know if you can and where because I'm thinking about selling domain names but want to know if there is any way I can reduce the risk like by just being able to stop the domain being registered by anyone else and then sell it on and then when someone buys it I register it with the money...

yes there is! Don't say there isn't ;)
Go to dynadot.com and if you buy a domain there then you have 5days time to cancel it and get a refund, but $0.2 Ican fee still stays what isn't refundable , so it's better losing 20cents not 9dollars !

Actually you've gotta pay around $2.00 if you want to buy another domain since, after you've deleted the domain for credit but $0.20 is deducted, in which you'll need another 20 cents in your account in which they only allow you to use paypal with $2.00 or more, i know because i've done it. Well that's what happened that last time i tired that. :D
