Can you remove category from Joomla URLs?

    I'm about to move a site from Wordpress to Joomla, but I wanted to know if there is a way to Not have categories in the URLs like you can with Wordpress.
    I will be using SEF URLs.

    Just to be clear, I want domain.com/filename on all files instead of domain.com/category/filename.

    Thanks in advance for any help.

    i think thats not possible if you use sef urls , though not sure

    Yes that can be done buddy!
    Its very very easy..
    Use sh404sef and switch off SHOW CATEGORY and SHOW SECTION in the URLs and its done!!
