If I buy an existing site for a simular type of business and put a redirect on this site to a new url ( my new site ) will it tranfer the PR backlinks and help me avoid the sandbox !!! helping me get good serps quickly??

PS what sort of redirect would i need from the old site

Why not just buy the existing site and use that instead?

In theory if you 301 redirect the old site to the new site the rankings should be OK after a week or 2. In reality you could face problems especially if the whois data alters.

If you already have sites and want to make a new site somewhat related to the existing sites, you can add the new site as a sub-domain to the existing site. Also, I'd suggest you use adsense on your new site to reduce the time spend in sandbox. And of course, try and get as many links as possible to the new site.

I want a new Url with my key words in to give my a headstart in a competitive field.
are you telling me that google will cross reference and see that the old site has changed hands ?
What about sandboxing will this help me avoid the sand box.
what would you recommend then ... as my last venture was very slow off the ground as i was sandboxed for 15 months ( competive terms) and i am trying avoid this
    Cheers

If you can buy a site that already ranks then do that. It all depends on what keywords you want to rank for.

Google knows if the old site changes hands so you should leave the whois data alone.

It is not that every new site will be in sandbox if u rank well, u can rank well and u can avoid sandbox.

sometimes is a good option to start from the beggining, now you have experience, you will optimize it better, you will get only quality links.

I would not suggest you this...IMO...you should not do this...because your previous domain is around G Sandbox and when you redirect that to new site then Google will find the association of new domain with the old and it can again cause you problem...

I always mean to say just be realistic...you can try this for a week if you find raise in traffic its OK continue it for second week and then for few months and so on...

So just keep monitoring the things around both the domain..

If you have some thing bad on the old domain ...then rectify that....then everything will be fine...

    Hope this would help...
