    I used backlinkchecker.com to check for backlinks and traffic travis to check on competitor backlinks. both are free to use.

    Alexa is really great tool for checking your website's backlinks, but as per my knowledge this tool is updated monthly bases. So it may be tough for the checking backlinks regularly of particular website. Best way to know it on webmaster tool, I'm also using this tool.

    Tried backlinkwatch. But did not try that one. Majesticseo, ibacklinkprom ahrefs & seo spyglass are the ones I use.
