Alot of people say they can make money on google but can anyone really hand out some real facts? I mean no one is willing to give up the real secrets.. I know how to place the ads and that you need decent traffic to get good money...but hey...how do you increase the money you get per click, and how many ads should you have? ETC ETC... I don't want to know how much you make, I want to know how you do it?
To be honest I find adsense COSTS you money because there is always a better alternative. The thing is, until you find out what that is, adsense pays and getting paid something, anything, is important.
I don't think there's any real secrets. Most important is on the keyword research part. Knowing what everybody is searching and knowing which one advertisers are placing high bids for it.
There are so many proofs here that you can find. Simply read some of the previous thread and this site is a living proof...Check the stats on how makes what..

Actually there are no secrets. But you must understand how really Google Adsense is for, and where who the real ad clickers are. Ads are being clicked by the ones who need them, and the one who need them are the ones who search at Google. Therefore, the main key is to focus on getting search engine traffic - tons of them. This follows that you should not attract social traffic. Social visitors don't click ads, and if they do - they don't buy the product. This is also the reason why it is not practical to put Adsense on a new blog, since a new blog is most likely not to get search engine traffic yet. But of course, your topic should have a lot of searchers. Otherwise, you will not enjoy the traffic you want. To make him more convincing, you can Google make money online or making money online and you will see his blog mostly on the top. No Issue, Every one who is earning through google will definitely guide you (else how much they are earning) Just make a blog/site, use unique articles + useful content, promote it as much as you can.... you will get good traffic then apply for adsense... once approved they will give you some code to put in your website/blog... So that you may be able to earn through google. by the way there are many who are paying, not only google but google adsense is best till the time
I think you won't start earning if you won't start believing that you can, coz this is where I started making money with adsense, yes when I started believing that I can. And also if you can't search for some prof and instead just ask for it, then I guess making money with adsense is not for you, coz making money with adsense also means working hard. just my 2 cents .
You make a good point OP. To make a decent wage from Adsense you would probably need 10'000 - 100'000 visitors a day and with affiliate marketing you can make a decent wage of 1000 if you are good with all that long tail, viral marketing kinda stuff. Adsense no doubt pays big money, but the guys that are doing the business probably have tens of thousands of indexed pages and to do this well it would take a few years of dedication at least.

Everyone should go to his site and read the book about how he made money with adsense. There's definate proof there thank you...
Google adsense need experiment if you want it to be only source of revenue Placement of ads Adverts color Text ads or Image ads Organic traffic These are few factors which matters the most.
Yeah I agree there are no secrets but there is a skill to learn. If you can gain some knowledge from an experienced person it can save you hours of study. Thanks everyone for some really great info.
The real players in AdSense are not going to tell you what they do to make their dough. Because you would just be more competition for them. There is, however, some people on this forum though know a decent amount of the program, and can tell you what, and what not to do. My 2 Cents.....
