Can you rate this logo?

I have a friend who liked me to make a banner for his very large forum dedicated to Japanese heroes like Ultraman, Kamen Rider and Super Sentai.



This is for http://forums.Henshinjustice.com that I will incorporate in the banners.

Can you suggest me something that can make the logo better?

Its average, Doesnt look bright and vibrant

 

colours are dark, not good design.

Im not keen on it to be honest, it looks kinda dated.

 

well i like it .. maybe you should change the second color to something more eye catching but generally it is very good.

Well, honestly, this is my first logo so I don't expect seeing a good rating.

Well, that 2nd logo is good. IF you use different color combinations then it would be looking good.

The color combination should be blue, black and gold since it is the site colors.
Anyone can suggests in what place of the logo could I put these colors as in text or border?

 

then make it GOLD .. that's what i am talking about .. this "yellow" is sort of .. hmm have no idea how to describe it but it's not the GOLD indeed. Improve the yellow and you'll be fine.

 

The logo might not be too attractive but when you put it in the header, it more amazing than looking through it, text alone...
