Well I will go with Wayne Rooney and his performance with club and country in last 6 months is excellent and Current United condition also give more boost for him as he is free to score and finding net regularly for United.
i think Messi has great chance.he scored the decding goal in dubai for fc barcelona in club worldcup,he scored two goals in the recent match between fc barcelona and Sevilla fc .He is football player of the year.So i think he will be the player of worldcup too.Great thing about him is that he score goals in high tension matches too
Two outsiders here; Watch out for Ezequiel Lavezzi of Napoli/Argentina. If he gets a chance I think he'll be one of the stars of the tournament. Pazzini of Italy is also worth getting in your dream team. Ronaldo might not be around for very long, Portugal have a tough group.
There's one man standing tall among all others and its Fernando Torres. There are a few problems regarding match fitness but once its back,Im sure he will not be stoppable. Also the midfield of spain provide enough support for the strikers which will only make their life easy. I fancy Fernando Torres to go all the way.
