I like your portfolio the text are very readable in bit bigger font sizes, site colors are good, header changes background on each page, its interesting to see you are using an UL as the main site container. The contact form has a very unique anti-spam measure, never saw it before.

If i may suggest [ i don't not always feel good to take suggestions on ur own site, so purely optional ] you might do good by getting rid of the clock, or atleast show your Romanian time so that visitors know whether its your work or sleep time and they can expect e-mail replies from your accordingly.

 

It is also not working for me. Some host problems ?

I have bought a VPS because I had some problems before. I didn't expect to have problems again. I asked some friends and they said it's working.
If you get a message like server not found, click on that "Try Again" button that's on the page. If not working, I don't know what else can be.

Hey man I am also getting a DNS error when I try to load it up.

 

Ah it seems a DNS issue, i am using OpenDNS & i am able to see the site, but when i switch back to my Indian ISP's DNS it also does not open for me, you can also check that using openDNS 208.67.222.222 | 208.67.220.220

The domain has Romanian DNS servers, so may be they are a bit slow in sending out changes [my ISP's DNS server sucks too], will take sometime to reach our ISPs the interesting web world we live in

 

Mmm.... I might consider changing my host. I pay ~ $80 / month and the space given is not so wow.

I've sent an email to support. I hope they can solve it out.

Wow thats quite a lot!! I dunno your requirements, but i have 4 small sites [2 mine+2 friends] and i recently took the second $71 plan from http://www.thiswebhost.com, i switched from DreamHost, as the space+bandwidth DreamHost claims is way more than my requirement [as if i was actually going to get 500 Gig space] .

I like this small webhost's honesty, their server is fast, they don't oversell & provide what they say and being small i can ask them anything over twitter or just drop a comment on their blog, atleast of now they are replying quite fast. They have 20% discounts going on till end of this month as well, i got my $71 plan for $57.

Note i am not posting referral links, i am just happy with them.

i think you should change hosts aswell, plenty more cheaper places out there.

I suggest you to remove the clock on the right hand side. It shows your page unprofessional.

 

I was trying to make a clock only from jquery and no flash. I found a cool jquery plugin on the internet so I used it. I'll make the clock show my local time and I'll specify that somewhere. I still have to add some more things on my website but I don't have time for that now.
About the clock maybe you're right.. maybe it doesn't fit very well with the website design but I'll find another one if so.

i like the header idea a lot... very very nice, very clean design

I'm not a big fan of the menu buttons but it blends with the site nice... just not a fan..

who are you hosting with... people saying its been down... I see it up but very slow at loading

 

Thanks for your reply I've got hosting from a company from Romania ( mxhost.ro ) but I think I've configured something the wrong way. I'll just write to them.

 

I like the idea with colors on each page. I used that on one of my designs. i recommend to work on the navigator. I don't like that menu. You can use a better design.

 

i'm having similar issues to others on the forum. Can't see it.
