One Tip: Everybody makes 300-400 words articles. Try to make things more natural (example: one post with 100 words, other with 700 and so on).

use 100% unique content.
500+ words content, longer the better
do not use too much keyword density, 1% kw density should be good enough
use H1, H2 and H3 tags to write subtitles using your keywords - you can highlight these lines
do NOT use bold face keywords
write meta title and description based on on site content. do not repeat keywords too many times in the meta tags.
if you use meta keyword tag, just include few of your main keywords and do not stuff the keyword tag

there are few other things but that will do you for now.

 

Do everything you can to reduce your bounce rate. Include LSI kw’s as well as the KW you’re trying to optimize for. And do vary the length of your articles. My posts are generally over 800 words long. If you want to create the mother of all posts with over 3000 words, who’s stopping you?

 

Keep your keyword density to a minimum and use a lot of synonyms.

Make sure that you text contents are grammatically good and is not duplicates of the original sources. And also try to implement the targeting keywords within the content. If you've images in the content then make use of "alt" tags (Attributes) with in the image html code with the relevant keyword or description to the page topic.

 

Keep your totally focus on content and keyword density. They should not be a part of spamming.

 

For on page, proper key wording, good content and easy and attractive navigation that will bring natural traffic is helpful.

 

Keyword wording hasn't much to do with nowadays. Content and good backlinks are key imho.

I think the most important thing to keep in mind is to create content for the readers, not the search engines. It's still important to think about related terms when writing, but your main focus should be your audience.

However, looking at youtube for instance, which is also owned by google. The algorithm over there are pretty much google 5 years ago.

 

Totally agree, search engines ignore keyword density now... sometimes it happens that you have keyword density 10%+ but it's natural so search engines don't penalise you.
When you write content for a website just make it natural and if you struggle to read it then SE's and others will struggle.

 

On page SEO is very important in this new update. Also, Google wants more social signals in the new update so take advantage of that.

 

You focus on keyword density and content.Your have unique and attractive content and your keyword density have very low. You create a meaningful and understanding content that define your website quality.
