I thought you could no longer have direct linking of adwords to clickbank affiliate links as in stevesreallywonderfulproducts.com as a display URL and then steve.xxxx.hop.clickbank.net as the destination URL I saw a video two days ago that not only says you can but shows others doing it. So far I have tried steve.com as display URL (with no redirect to click bank) steve.xxxx.hop.clickbank.net as the destination URL ------------------------- steve.com as display URL (with redirect to click bank) steve.xxxx.hop.clickbank.net as the destination URL ------------------------------------- steve.com as display URL (with redirect to click bank) steve..com as the destination URL (with redirect to click bank) --------------------------------------- I also set up the key word to steve.com/php?id=123 All with the same result You have 2 Disapproved Ads. reason= Inaccurate display URL Chris Carpenter author of the Google Cash System has made these videos and I would have thought he knew what he was talking about. I know I can set up a landing page and over come this but the question is are direct links possible? Kind Regards to all Steve
Is there somebody else linking to that same merchant page? Google will only let one affiliate link to it at a time. Maybe if your click price was higher than his you might have better luck. Just thinking out loud. Mm
I Bid £1/ $1.40 and the campaign did run for a little time before it was pulled and my av cpc was 34p so pricing was not the problem.
I've never had much luck with direct linking to be honest but I know Google frowns upon it and you can probably do direct linking until an actual human checks your ads. My bid prices were always way to high to make a profit with direct linking. I'd really like to hear from people that do direct linking successfully if possible. Would save on a lot of campaign testing if it does work.
I've made hundreds of ClickBank ads in AdWords, so here's the truth of it: 1. Google doesn't care if you direct link or using a landing page. They do care about the quality of the destination (quality score) and that your Display URL matches where the person clicking on your ad ends up. 2. ClickBank doesn't care if you direct link or using a landing page. Regarding the OP's example: If this is the link provided by ClickBank: steve.xxxx.hop.clickbank.net And when someone follows that link they end up at: steve.com Then using steve.xxxx.hop.clickbank.net as the Destination URL, and steve.com as the Display URL is correct, and you should not be getting the ad disapproved ----------------- Here's why you probably shouldn't bother: 1. Most "make millions from affiliate PPC ads" courses and ebooks tell you to use ClickBank, consequently there's a never-ending supply newbies with landing pages promoting those ClickBank merchants. 2. This means that click prices are approaching break-even ROI for most keywords, for most merchants. 3. It also means that, from newbies bidding too much, many will simply lose money. 4. When it is possible to make some profits, a few super affiliates have them sewn up, and no techniques that can stop you from having some of the action.
Ok so is this the answer? yes you can direct link to a click bank product if you use the the landing page URL as your display URL eg. fordcars.com (display URL) My clickbank hop link (destination URL) taking people to fordcars.com But there is no way of having any other display URL taking people to fordcars.com??
I think this is what is happening 1.Google execute your destination url and determines where it goes. 2.Compare this url with the display url. 3.If both of these urls are not same, then the ad will be disapproved
