Can you open multiple AdSense Accounts?

I am curious if anybody had done this or if its against G's TOS. The reason I ask is that with all the talk about accounts banned for various reasons it would seem that if this is allowable, you could mitigate the risk of a problem with one site taking you down altogether.

If one account is banned, you won't be able to sign up for another account.

You can open several accounts. One in your name, others in your companies name and so on.

Thanks login. That's what I thought also. I have not yet found anything in TOS otherwise. Of course methinks AutumnBreeze is also correct if you have both an individual and a company account that if they ban one, they also probably ban the other :(

I would ask the adsense team what their policy is on this. But normally you dont need two accounts just for yourself.

It will be better to mail them and get an answer regarding the ban on individual/company account IMO .

As login and mixke said, only Google can give you the most reliable answers to your questions.

However the trick is not to lose your existing account in the first place by following the Google guidelines to the letter.

Thanks everyone for your responses. I did a little research in AdSense help pages and found the following, which confirms you may open separate personal and business accounts:

"I need a separate account for my business

In this case, you may submit a new application. Please make sure that the account type (individual or business) and payee name are different from your original application, and ensure that you can accept payments to that payee."
