Can you make online purchases with an unverified paypal account?

    I have not gotten my account verified yet. Is there any way I can get even a limited amount of money out of an unverified account?

    Yes you can use it for purchases - but lot depends on the site where you are purchasing from - because some sites dont allow to purchase - but some sites do allow - so just check with the site you are purchasing from.

    Why is this asked so often? It depends on your COUNTRY.
    Because different COUNTRIES have different settings, limits, and requirements for verification.

    Wow, thanks. That's what I was going to use it for anyway (online purchases).

    So I guess I only need to verify it to receive a check for the cash or to deposit it into a bank account. Is this correct?

    Also, can I send payments to another account with an unverified account?

    Just open your paypal,Then click "view limits"?You can find all answers from there

    Even with an Unverified account you can receive money through Cheque or Bank Transfer.
    As far as online shopping is concerned, ebay doesn't need you to be verified, majority of the sites accept an unverified account while making payments.

    Do you know what the limits are on the check amounts with an unverified account? Also, I hear they have a debt card, but I'd assume that would require a debt card.

    Thanks for the information.

    Sooner or later I will probably have to verify, but this thread will be helpful for those who can't verify for some reason.

    As far as I know,For US account,You must verify your paypal first,Otherwise, you can not use it for purchases

    IMO the same $500 limitation apply.
    If you mean the PP debt card,you'll need to 1st verified your PP account before can apply for it.

    Yes you can send money with an unverified account.. I just dont know if you can receive money with it (well, if it cant receive, where will you get the money you can send then?? lol)

    However what @infogle said is also truth; if you have an unverified account you may or may not buy or pay for something if the site has setup the payment gateway in a way that unverified accounts are nor allowed to check out, regardless Paypal country regulations say something different.
