Hi I am interested in being an Amazons affiliate, so I was looking around and I see that most of the people here are doing it with sites or blogs. Can you make money being an Amazon Affiliate and using Adwords or MSN? Thanks
PPC works fine with Amazon, even if you use direct links, it's all about the right niches and products...but don't expect any hints, profitable niches aren't common nowadays, so be prepared for alot of trial and error.
I started with Amazon a couple of weeks ago and so far have had 18 orders so yes i think you can earn money with them.
I can confirm you that using adwords or any other PPC will definitely help you earn some money from Amazon.com
as far as i know ... and i could be WRONG ... i often am *sigh* you can use direct links to amazon with ppc but NOT amazon UK, although depending when you read their own forums doing for either could get you banned from amazon..... i don't think even amazon are sure of their own rules at times *sigh* As to if it's worth doing PPC with amazon products, some make a lot, some loose a lot ... it all depends how much time you have and how quickly you drop keywords that don't earn you money, do limited tests on keywords, and how well you can track which is which.... it is not as easy as it looks at first.... you stand a chance of loosing more cash than you make if you are not very careful. You will need to use many different amazon tracking ID's to stand any chance of working out what works for you and with Amazon reports you will have to wait till the next day to find out as their reporting is not in real time, but usually about 4 or 5 hours after the end of the previous day.
Of course you can earn from ppc, but you need to study hard on keyword targeting, and keep analyst it to get low cpc keyword but bring your very good sale success rate.
Yes, you can definitely make money on Amazon with PPC. This month I've cleared more than $4,700. PPC with Amazon is not illegal. The main restriction is that you cannot bid on Amazon's name, affiliate names (Kindle, etc.) and any variations thereof: Amaazon, amzon... They will come after you. The guide in my signature is a very straightforward and informative guide that focuses mainly on how to use PPC with Amazon. Of course I can't guarantee that you'll make major cash your first month, and I will let you know right away that there is a decent amount of research involved. However, it helped me a lot after I had already given up on Amazon, and it may very well shed light on what you may have been/are doing wrong. With the price being under $10, I cannot recommend it enough.
4700 on amazon affiliate program? sounds like you're trying to sell a $10 ebook. that link is dead that you're trying to promote btw
Hi pamon, This thread is about whether PPC is possible on Amazon. I read the guide I mentioned about 2 months ago and so far have earned over $5,400 using only PPC. A lot of my success is due to the ebook as it lays out the fundamentals everyone should know before starting. However, a lot of my success is also due to a decent amount of research and luck I also mention the book because it deals specifically with PPC on Amazon, which again is what this thread is about. I do realize that my last post did sound a lot like a pitch, so I apologize for that. Thanks for pointing that out. I checked my links and they seem fine on my end. Thanks for letting me know, though. One of my own tips, which isn't in the book, is that I only promote products costing $150 or more. They need to have about a 90% or higher 5 star rating and be a bestseller. Navigate to the bestseller area of amazon and look at what's on there. Pick one or two items, check the pricing competition on google, and if Amazon is one of the 2-3 lowest prices shown on the first couple of pages, then start testing the waters with PPC. It's understood that Amazon usually offers some of the lowest prices on many products, but you'll run into certain items that are priced much lower on competing sites. You won't make a cent using PPC promoting those. I just started using MSN and Yahoo PPC and will report back regarding those as well!
It's kind of a pain that a lot of Amazon products have that "Price too low to display" on them. Especially if you are taking people to a landing page on your own site first, because you probably can't display the price (and you have to timestamp it if you do). These items are usually very good bargains but convincing the PPC visitor is more difficult... I have tried a bit of PPC with Amazon recently and not had great results yet, you really have to optimise your campaigns to reduce the number of wasted clicks as much as possible, as the commission is so low. Which for me usually means choosing low-frequency, relatively cheap keywords, and with the inclusion of the word "buy", which really narrows it down to good potential buyers, not just surfers, but also greatly reduces the number of clicks. So maybe I am going about it the wrong way and need to try some more expensive "top position" campaigns...
Hi Markowe, I think the solution then is to stay away from products that state "price too low to display". You'll find that there are tons of other products on Amazon that can't be found cheaper anywhere else, so stick with those. Another PPC tip: Be as specific as possible. For example, if you're selling a camera, state the model number in the ad. State the price too - just keep checking with Amazon every day or so to make sure the price hasn't changed. It's more work but worth it.
Hi hotbeauty, Yes, l got a good response with PPC. I spent about $1,000 last month in PPC and earned about $5,000 from Amazon. That being said, December is always a really good month for earnings, so just remember that as long as you make about two times your PPC spend you are doing really well.
I never thought about using Amazon with PPC, I didn't think it was possible. How does one attract buyers through this way?
Amazon is easily the most trustworthy ecommerce site around. As long as you can get traffic to it, I'm positive there are going to be good conversions.
