I was quite happy with quadrupling my adsense earnings from $0.40 per day to $1.60 per day changing the ad placements. Now I want to take it up a notch. I am currently getting CTR of around 2-3%, with 200 unique visitors per day and rising. I have spoken to people saying their CTR is as high as 15%. Can you look at www.stevenaitchison.co.uk/blog and advise me if there is anything else I could be doing to A) increase CTR and B) increase earnings Thanks in advance
I took a look at your blog, but i dont know what you can do better. the ads are very well placed !!! really good job, and i think 1,60 a day is very nice. you only need to get more traffic if you want to reach your 1,000 goal and you might succeed in it !! keep it up
Yes, I would also agree: You should give rest of us advice! My site is Movie Remakes It's been running for 8 months, and have nearly 400 unique visitors and have average $0.20 a day!
I'm doing better than I thought then. I changed my format after speaking with some others in the adsense forum. Changed to a 728 x 90 leaderboard just under the header image and this worked wonders, I would recommend it to everyone. I also embedded a 250 x 250 into everypost and I am currently playing with the sidebar ads. I have just changed it today again to a smaller ad unit at the top of the sidebar. At last count I have earnings of $11.08 for January which is the biggest so far. So I guess I just need to work on my traffic. Thanks for the input and encouragement.
Imbrod Just looked at your site. I would definitely take out the 468x15 ad and change it to the 468x90 ad but don't use image ads like you've got, use the text ad units. Guarantee this will make a huge difference. I would also try a 120x240 ad unit at the top of the sidebar. Hope that helps, not that I am an expert just an experimentor.
Great blog Steven! I will focus on the traffic first, 200 uniques a day is not relevant for your metrics. Check my signature for a big jump in revenue! You deserve $50 a day with your blog! Traffic id your priority!
Thanks, but: - I don't use image ads. Those are simple banners that have nothing to do with google. - 468x15 ? 468x90 ? I used only 468x60 ad on many pages.
You can try putting the rectangular ad below the Post Title. You can see the ad preview in my blog in the signature. It works well for me.
