I just launched my site about 2 weeks ago (the domain is about 2 years old)...but i haven't got any organic search results...i just wanted to see if i did everything right. Please let me know what you think. Thanks www.indexideas.com
well.. only 13 pages are indexed in google... so.. don't expect much organic traffic. Post more content first!
Get more back links with your targeted keywords from Article submissions, classifieds and social book marking submissions. and get the forums list of your related category and post in some quality forums with your signatures. it will take some time but you will get sure reulsts if you can do proper steps. Thanks john
I understand the importance of link building etc....but what about landing pages that are just 1 page but still get good traffic to them........sorry for all the questions...
"but i haven't got any organic search results" Build lots of back links in order to improve your search results ranking.
You tell me. Before you do that though, I strongly suggest you read "What is a good SEO strategy?" from the Search Engine Optimization FAQ. http://www.sitepoint.com/forums/showthread.php?t=182915#Section40
SB, FP, BC, DS and AS submissions to get more and more back links, try to get high amount of back links, you will get benefited.
On page looks decent. You've been reading up on that it appears.... What CMS is that, I like it... Your site should, given some time, and depending on the competition, searches, etc, do reasonably well for a few terms. I would rename some images from logo.png, etc to websitedesign.png and add Alt text and Title text as website design. Some will call it keyword stuffing, but I have sites that have done ok with it... Nice site by the way. And remember, it does take some time to generate some traffic. Place a link in your DP signature with an anchor text of your keywords. (Like I have below, I place links for a buddy and a couple of my new sites). See hoew he is concentrating on the keywords "crawfish" and "cajuns". It wont blow you right to the top, but every little bit helps. Good luck with the site!
Here are some reports on your web site: http://www.seomoz.org/crawl-test/view/34a0815993facd98e118ff3118605d732c01840d http://www.seomoz.org/page-strength/www.indexideas.com You've only got 28 links pointing to your domain; that's probably a good place to be starting.
Way to early to predict anything honestly. Keep doing the hard work and u shud be able to see good results in 2 months time.
The site needs more content and work on some backlinks. Directory submissions, and maybe a link bait article or a guide that would get people to link to it, would be helpful too. Good luck.
While you are fixing the things, here is most important factor. When you submit your site to directory or exchanging link, the link should have the keyword you are targetting. Like if you are targetting website design san Francisco, then the link pointing to your site should have that keyword like I have it in my signature. It helps a lot. Also your most important keyword should appear first after the body tag. I hope it helps.
